Message First off I bought the Techtom about six weeks ago, not an expert by any means. I had my base idle set @ 15 with a light, plug the Techtom in and it showed 15, and all other parameters in spec, 172 degrees idle warm, 185 under 15 psi boost.

So I decide to dyno and see if I picked up any power from a recent downpipe purchase, and run advance timing like I normally do. I decide to try 18 degrees and 17PSI with race gas. Set the timing and plug the techtom in and it reads 15 degrees base but 18 on the light???? I'm thinking something is wrong with the techtom, do a search and find some post that says the Tectom base is a static 15 degrees what the ECU thinks it is?

Now here is the kicker and I don't know if it's normal or not?
I'm on the dyno and I have a friend watching the Techtom timing for me, according to him and the techtom my timing ran more advanced under higher rpms - but at WOT over 5000 rpms it read 18 degrees, what I had it set at with the light.

I don know if this helps, and I would like to find out more timing at wot, and how the Techtom works for timing at wot.
I have lent my Tectom to someone right after the dyno and have not had a chance to test it any further.
